Meet Karla M. Vallés

Karla M. Vallés established the Law Office of Karla M. Valles, PLLC, to provide aggressive, affordable, bilingual, client-focused legal services to those living in Austin and the surrounding areas. Karla practices in the areas of immigration, criminal, and family law.

After graduating from Texas A&M University, Karla went on to graduate from Texas Tech University School of Law. While in law school, Karla participated in the 2010 Summer Law Institute in Guanajuato, Mexico where she took legal courses at the Universidad de Guanajuato and participated in an externship for El Poder Judicial del Estado de Guanajuato. She also was a fellow for the Center for Biodefense, Law and Public Policy, where she was certified in Biosecurity Law. Karla was a member of the Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal, which awarded her the “Top Staff Editor Award in 2012”, on the Board of Barristers for her oral and written advocacy, and a Student Attorney Public Defender representing the indigent in over 10 counties as part of the Caprock Regional Public Defender’s Office.

Karla has been a licensed attorney since November of 2012. Prior to opening her own office, Karla managed hundreds of immigration, family, and criminal law cases as the managing attorney for another immigration office. Karla is a member of the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association, and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. In her spare time, Karla enjoys reading, writing, spending time with her dog, and being involved with music. Karla believes that every person should have access to legal representation.
